Placeholder Image Generator
Designers would be familiar with the term Lorem Ipsum, something that they use to fill a text when the body copy is not yet ready. Placeholder Image generator is just the image version of filler text and is used when the image is not ready or when you are too lazy to look for the perfect image.
Here are some good ones.
Placehold.it is one of my favorite because it is so simple to use and we don’t even have to download any images to use it. For example, if we go to the URL http://placehold.it/350×150, it will automatically generate a 350x150px image for us. We can then insert it into our HTML like this
But the best thing is that we can specify and dimensions, even the weird ones.
A fun image generator is PlaceKitten. It works the same way but it generates cute cat images, but use only if your clients have a sense of humor.
